Empowering Communities
through Housing
We have a saying at Wendover: we haven’t done our job unless we would feel comfortable moving our families into the communities we build. So within every project, we ask ourselves—is this development safe? Is it clean? Is it welcoming? Because more than housing, we are transforming lives. We’re empowering parents and enabling children. We’re giving workers space to rest and individuals a second chance. That’s why we started Wendover in 1995 and is the legacy we hope to leave.
We’re proudly based in Florida, where we provide professional services for investors and community housing developers across the Southeastern U.S. As part of our offerings, we also facilitate relationships between community partners and private companies.

Giving Back Brings Us Forward
We believe conscious practices and giving back are crucial to the success of our company. So we are committed to using environmentally sustainable and safe methods in building and managing our properties. We also support charities and initiatives that provide a better standard of living for those in our communities.
Initiating Acts of
Kindness
Community success is not only a reward—it’s a responsibility. So we help to improve the lives of our employees, customers, and those in our communities by standing with global movements such as Unicef and the Special Olympics. In turn, this brings out the best in us, inspires hope in others, and empowers all to believe in a better future.

Green Living
Our Actions for a Sustainable Future
We take the following actions to meet our sustainability goals:
- Share environmentally preferable practices with our teammates
- Cultivate a company culture of community and environmental stewardship
- Stay abreast of increasing regulations and codes that affect our residents and our investors
We strive for operational efficiency that’s friendly to the environment:
Energy Efficiency
We focus on providing energy efficient buildings to reduce overall energy demand and our carbon footprint.
- As a result, our tenants experience lower monthly energy bills.
- The energy performances range from 13.2% to 42.5% lower than required by the Florida Energy Code.
Our projects use Energy Star appliances, lighting, water heaters, windows, and ceiling fans.
Our design and construction teams work together to ensure buildings are tight while balancing the air changes needed for a healthy indoor environment.
Water
We use high performance, low-flow fixtures and water-saving appliances for a minimum indoor water use reduction.
- This decreases monthly expenses for tenants.
The exterior water use reduction, as determined by the WaterSense Water Budget tool, averages 56%.
- This water conservation is based on the selection of Florida Friendly drought-tolerant vegetation and WaterSense irrigation controllers with soil moisture sensors.

Health & Wellness
All Wendover projects use low emitting products for interior finishes such as low Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) paint, GreenGuard Insulation, and Carpet and Rug Institute certified padding and carpets.
Our communities offer indoor and outdoor amenities improving recreational, convenience, and quality of life.
- Spaces provided include community gardens, bicycle storage, walking paths, playgrounds, gathering spaces and recreational spaces to encourage deeper connection with outdoors. Our indoor amenities provide convenient locations to gather, work or relax.
Green Building Certification
All new construction projects are third-party certified by the Florida Green Building Coalition (FGBC).
