Affordable housing: this is the project that seeks to alleviate the crisis in Orang

Construction began on a 1,000-unit affordable housing community in Orlando on Wednesday, an effort between Wendover Housing Partners and Universal Destinations & Experiences.

The community named Catchlight Crossings is located at 5621 Destination Parkway, just east of the Orange County Convention Center and the International Drive Activities Center.

The complex will also include on-site amenities for residents, including a free preschool, medical offices, a transportation center, and programs in partnership with the University of Central Florida.
